The Coordinator of Pipeline Initiatives is responsible for fostering and maintaining a seamless pathway from middle school through high school and into college. The incumbent is charged with the day to day operations of the College Head Start programs including promotion of the opportunities as well as assistance with registration and retention of students. The Coordinator will work closely with K-12 partners to promote RCBC through programmatic and curricular efforts.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Director with developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive College Head Start program including RCBC’s College Acceleration Program (CAP).
Leverage the College Head Start initiatives as a vital part of RCBC’s enrollment funnel.
Coordinate with appropriate partners to maintain data on the overall progress of students participating in early college curricular opportunities.
Continuously conduct and monitor program assessment and learning outcomes and communicate with the College leaders, administrators and staff.
Develop communication plans for various constituencies (parents, students, school counselors) to ensure promotion and registration for early college course offerings.
Coordinates the outreach, advisement, planning and carrying out student-and-family engagement events and college awareness activities, information sessions, registration sessions and orientations.
Works closely with other RCBC efforts around student success of K-12 students to ensure consistent delivery and approach
Serves as lead for the College Readiness Now (CRN) and College for the Day (CFTD) programs as well as any new programmatic efforts.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in admissions, advising, high school access programs or related student services area, preferably at the community college level.
Demonstrated experience in public speaking and relationship building.
Demonstrated success in working with high achieving students.
Exceptional customer service skill and a student focused demeanor.
Extensive knowledge of the student experience at the community college.
Skill in developing and managing outreach efforts to a variety of diverse audiences.
Ability to use innovation and imagination to expand potential audiences and partnerships.
Experience with program planning.
Handles multiple tasks and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Comfort and familiarity with collecting, analyzing, and reporting data.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Proficient knowledge and experience in working with Student Information Systems, preferably within the Ellucian/Colleague environment.
OVERALL PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.
Accepts responsibility for the timely preparation of student outcomes assessment efforts of the faculty in planning, collecting data, and reporting dates as they relate to course outcomes, program outcomes, general education outcomes, and developmental program outcomes. Actively participates in setting annual division goals and objectives, completing OIR reporting forms, collecting data, analyzing data, and preparing a report using guidelines established by OIR.
