Provides leadership and direction for the 24-hour operation of residence hall and apartment service centers that service over 16,000 residents over 50 locations. Directly supervises and evaluates Neighborhood Administrative Coordinator team and indirectly a diverse group of student staff. Is an integral leader in the yearly residence hall and apartment operations cycle including move-in, move-out, and weekend needs. Develops and administers the budget for operations. Acts as a liaison for access control functions as well as building partners, such as academic and administrative units, that utilize space in our facilities. Collaborates frequently with campus and community partners to manage operational needs around mail, packages, and deliveries. Ensures safety and security of the residence hall and apartment environment through collaboration with Residence Education and Facility Services. Ensures Spartans receive an exceptional level of service. Responsible for assessing the effectiveness and utilization of service provided. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Directly hire, train, supervise, and evaluate full time Neighborhood Administrative Coordinator (NAC) team, responsible for the 24 hour service centers and other operational functions in the halls and apartments.
Indirectly supervise and oversee the hiring, training, and evaluation of student Service Center Representative (SCR) team.
Actively work to build a diverse and inclusive team through hiring, training, and ongoing development.
Using diversity, equity, and inclusion as a foundation this position ensures policies, procedures, and practices meets the needs of a diverse group of staff and students.
Maintain, train to, and evaluate for, a high standard for service and the customer experience. Including regular evaluation and assessment service provided at service centers and track metrics on usage of services.
Review financial projections and expenditures of funds including yearly budget development and labor tracking. Track operations accounts for accuracy.
Plan and organizes objectives for departmental operations including assisting with move-in, move-out, and summer conferences.
Manage key residence hall and apartment operations including mail, packages, loaner items, keys, and hall signage.
Access control and emergency planning liaison.
Work with campus and community partners to ensure accuracy for mail and package delivery.
Perform periodic inspections of work sites in order to ensure safety procedures are followed and to check quality and quantity of work performed, including regular time spent at service centers to review daily operations.
Assist in overseeing daily administrative functions throughout the department, including regular building partner communication, daily management of the service enters, and managing summer conference functions.
Other duties as assigned.
Performs duties normally associated with Service Managers I, II and III in order to complete necessary work.
Position includes some evening and weekend hours.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical, or vocational school in a field related to the area of responsibility; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in supervising operational activities related to the area of employment; OR knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a field related to the area of responsibility; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in supervising operational activities related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
