Under the supervision of the Dean of Student Affairs or designee, the Director of Enrollment Services / Registrar is responsible for initiating, planning, developing and implementing effective strategies, goals, policies and procedures for the admissions, registration, graduation and records retention services for students of the College.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Plan, develop, establish and implement short- and long-range goals, strategies, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the management of student admissions, registration, graduation and records retention services of the College. 2.Develop an effective service system, evaluation instruments and other tools for the assessment of services delivery programs. 3.Oversee and enforce the College's regulations and policies for enrolling students, for issuing transcripts and diplomas, and for the maintenance and security of academic records and grades. 4.Provide leadership in the development and implementation of a fully integrated, user-friendly student information system providing students with web access for personal and academic information and the capacity for online registration. 5.Consult with Information Technology and participate in the development and enhancement of specialized automated systems to facilitate the collection and analysis of information. Analyze current and future system integrations and areas of improvement for the Banner Student system. 6.Assure the appropriate and optimal use of information technology in the areas of admissions, registration, graduation, and records. 7.Oversee the mandatory reporting of enrollment and graduation data to the National Clearinghouse. 8.Supervise the streamlining of student services to serve students more effectively and efficiently. 9.Develop and maintain a budget in accordance with college regulations and procedures. 10.Maintain strict confidentiality and security of student and staff records. 11.Prepare routine, special, and ancillary reports as required. 12.Perform other related duties, as required.
1.Master's degree. 2.Experience in student admissions, registration, graduation and records retention administration policies and practices. 3.Demonstrated knowledge of computerized record management and maintenance, preferably the Banner system. 4.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse academic, staff and student populations as well as external constituents. 5.Commitment to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college preparing to meet the needs of the 21st century. 6.Demonstrated leadership and management skills. 7.Excellent interpersonal, analytic, problem solving, decision making, organizational skills. 8.Excellent oral and written communication skills. 9.Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
1.Doctorate or terminal degree preferred. 2.Five or more years of administrative and managerial experience working with students in a college environment, preferably in the enrollment services area. 3.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of higher education laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards. 4.High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with daily activities.
