Admissions Assistant - Admissions, School of the Museum of Fine Arts - (21001398)
The SMFA at Tufts Admissions Office is responsible for many aspects of the undergraduate and graduate admissions process for students applying to SMFA programs. This includes supporting all recruitment activities, application processing, and on and off campus event planning.
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions for SMFA at Tufts, the Admissions Assistant manages all general operations of the Admissions Office including greeting visitors, arranging campus visits, responding to inquiries from the general admissions email and phone, ordering office supplies, processing all incoming and outgoing mail, and assisting in on and off-campus event planning. The Admissions Assistant works closely with the undergraduate and graduate operations team, to coordinate all phases of Admissions application systems, makes recommendations to improve the overall efficiency of the SMFA Admissions department through its operations procedures, and assists in inputting prospect data and application materials.
Typically requires a high school diploma/GED and 2-4 years of administrative experience or college degree with 1-3 years' experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including word processing, editing, graphics, spreadsheet, and database knowledge.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Educational experience or familiarity with higher education in visual arts.
