Germanna Community College is seeking a full time Workforce Enrollment Advisor who serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students interested in Workforce (non-credit) programs. This position is responsible for ensuring students are seamlessly guided through the onboarding process and will serve as the primary liaison for Career & Technical Education programs This position will develop and plan outreach efforts, including information sessions, recruitment activities, pathway programming, and services for students interested in non-credit programs, short term credentials, and apprenticeship opportunities. In addition, this position will support the Germanna Scholars program through onsite advising and presence. The Advisor will manage a communication and outreach plan. The Advisor will serve as the liaison between students and all other functional enrollment areas to ensure students are appropriately advised and onboarded, to include advisement on financial assistance and funding opportunities. The Advisor will provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries from the public regarding services and programs offered by the college with a focus on Workforce Development and provide advisement on pathways to stackable credentials. This position assists new and current students with accessing Workforce and academic support services, as well as student information tools and platforms. This position is also responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting data to committees and leadership, to include Workforce Leadership.
Identify and conduct outreach to targeted populations through industry, community organizations or services, and community events. Work with Workforce staff to identify leads
Plan and implement on-campus outreach and recruitment activities, information sessions, School Counselor events, campus tours, Open House, etc. by working closely with the Marketing and Recruiting department staff
Track, analyze, and report out data to committees and leadership (to include Workforce leadership). Use this data to make data driven decisions
Build a relationship with the CTE center through outreach activities and arrange tours for prospective students enrolled in CTE
Serve as liaison to the CTE programs in our service region
Serve as the main point of contact in Student Services for Workforce programs. Determine the process for transitioning students from interest to enrollment
Ensure that students understand and are assisted through the process of requesting funding (Fantic, FastForward, FAFSA, REV, G3, etc.)
Work closely with the offices of Workforce Development, Financial Aid, Student Development, Testing, as well as the Academic Divisions to ensure a seamless enrollment process and that information disseminated is up to date
Maintain contact with students receiving funding to ensure that they are completing credentials and certifications
Follow-up with all inquiries and track communications, gather and analyze data for reporting purposes
Germanna Scholars (GS) case management, Navigate reporting, and referrals to other support services including ACE, Disability Services, Career and Transfer, Care Team and Counseling when appropriate
Provide high quality online, group, and face to face academic support services and advising to GS students, including education regarding goal setting, time management and organizational skills, study skills, self-advocacy skills, and assistance with task analysis.
Work with Assistant Dean of Student Development and Retention Specialist to respond to Early Alerts received from instructors on GS students
