Student Success Coach Position Overview
Are you ready to apply your student coaching skills as part of a collaborative and innovative team to support student success?
This position provides advising and support for online, adult undergraduate, and graduate students. This position is responsible for providing students with the tools and resources to be successful in their ACHS program and ensuring students have a high-quality experience learning with ACHS. The position conducts individual and group advising appointments by phone and Zoom interacts with students in the ACHS Facebook Coaching Group and online Student Success Center and sends email and text communications to support student engagement and retention.

The Work You’ll Do in this Role
Support incoming phone calls from students and assisting with issues and inquiries.
Orient new students to ACHS by actively guiding students through the orientation process and providing an introduction to advising resources at ACHS.
Maintain precise records of student communications and support provided.
Answer questions as they arise on registration, procuring textbooks, receiving accommodations if applicable, and all other matters related to students’ academic success.
Listen attentively to challenges and barriers to success, be encouraging, and provide coaching for students with academic or life challenges that may interrupt program completion.
Maintain a caseload of students and meet regularly with advisees to provide support to students with engagement and nurture student achievement.
Demonstrate knowledge about paths to degree attainment, depending on the discipline and educational level, and be prepared to advise students on existing pathways.
Assist students in course registration including building academic plans, sending course registration agreements, and discussing tuition and fees.
Respond to and manage the Freshdesk ticketing system (student support ticketing system).

At least 2 years of college at an accredited institution; Bachelors degree in education, counseling or related field preferred; compensatory professional experience such as coaching credentials also considered.
