Position Summary and Responsibilities Reporting to the Associate Director for Reunion and Class Programs, the Assistant Director for Reunion and Class Programs will support the Associate Director in stewarding 70+ graduating classes with volunteer recruitment, training and management, as well as class programming and reunions. As a team, these positions are responsible for shepherding all alum classes through their 5-year reunion cycles and also participating in the division's strategic efforts to educate current students (First years, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors) about life after Vassar. The Assistant Director will partner with various offices on campus in this work, with specific focus on Campus Activities and Career Development.
Recruit, train, set goals with, and support class volunteers.
Develop and co-lead a training program for class volunteers during and in addition to the annual Vassar College Volunteer Conference (VCVC).
Ensure that class programming is in alignment with College priorities and support volunteers with the administrative execution of event logistics.
Plan and execute reunion events for classes when volunteers are not able to do so.
Manage the Reunion Student Intern and the Reunion Student Employee program
Attend class events when strategically important and feasible.
Work in close collaboration with colleagues across Advancement, with particular focus on Annual Giving class volunteer managers.
Work in close collaboration with alumnae/i magazine staff to ensure alignment and coordination around the management of Class Correspondents.
Occasional responsibilities in support of large-scale department and college programs that require all hands on deck to ensure smooth operation. Examples include, but are not limited to, Sophomore Career Connections and Commencement.
Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
One to four years of progressively responsible alumni relations or student-facing higher education administration experience desired, preferably in a liberal arts college setting.

Excellent organizational, communications, and program planning skills.
Strong customer-service orientation.
Ability to manage technology platforms to facilitate information sharing, networking, and career advancement for students and alumnae/i.
Proven success in volunteer management and an ability to work effectively with a multigenerational and population.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Ability to function effectively and flexibly in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
