RRWIC works closely with the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development and division staff to develop and implement a rapid workforce training program. The position will coordinate all aspects of the programs involved in the initiative and will oversee the deployment of the model and monitoring of students' progress across the college.
Coordinates a special program/project pertaining to an assigned department or division, i.e. - plans, coordinates, and implements details of assigned project/activity including initiating new programs to connect students with business and industry, designing and developing educational programs or coordinating training goals and competency testing;
Assists with budget planning and grant management; performs various administrative tasks associated with assigned project; answers questions relating to area of assignment;
Organizes work activities; prepares and processes various documentation;
Compiles or monitors data pertaining to project/activities; conducts research as needed;
Provides or distributes information or documentation; coordinates special events/activities;
Organizes, maintains, and manages records.
Coordinates with Deans and faculty for implementation of short term certificates.
Coordinates with division staff and AR to schedule and enroll students.
Collaborates with Student central, student services, career services, lifemap and all student facing departments for outreach, support and to track student progress.
Assists students in enrollment and helps to troubleshoot any barriers to success.
Connects students to Career Development and employer resources for reemployment.
Supports students in obtaining unemployment paperwork or documentation for financial assistance. Updates state training databases.
Collaborates with Institutional Research, faculty or student services to research and document student completion, job placement or transfer.
Works with Marketing department to communicate about workforce programs to internal and external partners.
Performs administrative tasks associated with initiative activities (i.e. - maintains accurate, organized student/employer files; compiles statistical data and reports prepares monthly summaries, student records, job tally sheets, flyers, brochures, presentations, purchase orders, reports, forms, and general correspondence;
Receives or refers to student files, and reference materials; operates a computer and utilizes word processing, spreadsheet, database, Internet, or other software programs.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Counseling, Education, or closely related field with two (2) years' experience and/or training in academic program coordination across all areas of a college environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Associate Degree with 4 years of coordination experience.
Attention to detail and willingness to follow through in time sensitive tasks with an ability to streamline processes.
Ability to use Colleague or other SMS preferred.
Salary Range: $49,711.00-$58,000.00. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience in accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state benefits.
Grade 4, Unit-Professional position. (This position is a temporary full-time position, is subject to funding availability and is funded until Dec 31, 2022)
