Advertised Job Summary:
The Assistant Director is a full-time masters-level professional who provides vision and direction for student learning for the residents living on the University of South Carolina campus. The Assistant Director of Residence Life plans, implements, evaluates, and assesses operations, programs and services in a designated residential communities while providing leadership and supervision to the staff within those communities. The Assistant Director ensures all programs and services in their communities are aligned with and supportive of the mission and strategic vision of University Housing, the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support, and the academic purposes of the University of South Carolina. The Assistant Director is charged with shaping the environment and experiences of students by providing services and programs related to the Carolina Residential Living Experience framework. The Assistant Director will oversee a specialty area to include any of the following: Training and Selection, Residence Life Operations, Residential Student Engagement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives. The Assistant Director is directly supervised by the Director of Residence Life.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 3 years related experience, or bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience.
