This position is responsible for the recruitment of prospective students, as well as assisting students throughout the stages in the enrollment funnel to registration. The enrollment funnel includes the following critical processes: Inquiry Generation, Prospect Management, Application Development, Admission to the College, and Enrollment. The primary objective is to meet or exceed enrollment goals established by the Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) Leadership team and administrative leadership. ’
Primary Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for new student engagement and enrollment — from prospect to applicant and admitted to registered – to meet college enrollment goals. Assist prospective students through the admissions process. Maintain accurate records, follow-up, and provide recruitment information to prospective students. Secure enrollment of prospective students.
2. Regularly review enrollment data and conversion and yield rates and evaluate data to determine strengths and areas of need. Assist in the research of college, high school, and other regional demographic trends to guide recruitment planning efforts. Assist with identification/tracking of target populations.
3. Review and evaluate recruitment activities, communications, and special events to assess the effectiveness and ensure alignment with the marketing and enrollment plan. Identify target recruitment sites according to enrollment trends/analysis. Prepare, communicate and distribute timely, effective, and professional recruitment materials to interested students, parents, schools, colleges, businesses, and community groups.
4. Coordinate off-campus recruiting activities and assist with on-campus events and activities. Implement College recruiting activities as outlined in the college's enrollment management plan. Visit regional middle and high schools to provide information and advise. Speak to groups and individual students to promote the College and its programs and courses. Attend special events and fairs and seek other venues for recruitment efforts.
Associate degree in a related field.
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Flexible work schedule, including evening and some overnight travel.
Able to work in a measured performance-based environment and meet enrollment goals.
Data entry skills sufficient to compile, sort, verify data accuracy.
Database and spreadsheet skills sufficient to create and track reports.
Ability to organize and manage time efficiently sufficient to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrate knowledge of and share the college's interest in diverse cultures and populations.
Valid driver's license to conform to Minnesota State vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.
Ability to work independently and work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Demands (e.g. sitting, standing, and some lifting)
Bachelor's degree in related field
Three years prior experience in admissions, sales, marketing, or post-secondary education.
Experience with a student record system such as ISRS; as well as other data and communication tools (EPM11, etc.)
Knowledge of College, Minnesota State, Federal, State, and local laws, rules, policies, and procedures pertaining to student data privacy and admissions.
Ability to initiate, manage, and evaluate recruitment-related programs and activities.
Knowledge of PTCC policies and procedures.
Knowledge of PTCC academic programs and requirements and their direct relationship to admissions.
