The primary responsibilities of this position are Diversity education and curriculum support; curriculum integration, implementation, and evaluation of program impact; program development for the Diversity Peer Educator program; program development for the North Carolina Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (NC-LSAMP) program; academic support for students (i.e. secondary academic advising, monitoring of academic progress, etc.) and faculty/staff within academic affairs. This position also has a wide range of administrative responsibilities. Support the campus efforts of curriculum integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion content by working with faculty and staff to produce content. The implementation and coordination of the delivery of webinars, active learning sessions, and evaluation of program impact with campus partners is a primary function. Program development to include student education, research facilitation, mentoring, planning of special events and activities (developing and conducting workshops, study halls, recognition of academic achievement).
Minimum Experience / Education:
Master's Degree in Counseling, Student Affairs, Education, or comparable program. Three years of experience in a university setting; teaching experience in a university setting; a clean driving record with a valid driver's license.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Experience with curriculum development; experience with an academic/social support program for underrepresented, minority, and marginalized populations; experience with academic advising; experience with student personnel management; experience conducting presentations and workshops; experience with budget development and/or management.
