Pay Range: $41,516 per year or higher depending on education and experience

Position Summary: Advising students on course selection, academic policies and procedures, career advancement, program enhancement and community building, and program navigation. In a team environment, this position serves as a liaison among students, faculty, and program directors to facilitate enhancement of the student experience through innovative methods especially targeted towards online students. This position will develop creative approaches for online community development, engagement, and support for students in these programs. The employee will also support directors in the enhancement of programs by leading systematic assessment and evaluation to identify opportunities and needs.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree Administrative Skills: Operating office equipment such as telephones, copiers, printers, computers and software Balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors Working with and maintaining student records Working in a high demand office with constant interruptions and changing priorities Developing, organizing, and implementing administrative projects Using alphabetical, numerical, and subject filing systems to classify, file, and retrieve materials Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues Collecting and analyzing data, summarizing findings and generating reports and presentations for leadership Planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating special projects Developing, evaluating and recommending procedures, written training materials and manuals
Teamwork/Collaboration: Three years experience in college-level student and faculty support Working in a customer service-oriented team environment to accomplish shared goals Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
Computer Use Skills: Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email, internet searches, and data organization Entering and retrieving data using computerized record systems
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in education, natural resources, environmental science or other relevant subject by position start date. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience working with students enrolled in on-campus or distance education programs in natural resources or environmental sciences or instructional design/technology. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse audiences (i.e., working professionals from state, local, and federal agencies and industries, non-traditional individuals making career changes, non-governmental organizations, communities with diverse cultural perspectives) Interest and ability to identify and pursue opportunities for program enhancement and growth. Interest in pursuing professional growth opportunities such as working towards an advanced degree of their own. Working in a senior leadership environment.
