Indiana University Kokomo seeks qualified candidates for the position of Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. Reporting to the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor is responsible for providing vision, planning, direction, and implementation of initiatives that increase enrollment, support the needs of students, and achieve the goals of the campus strategic plan.. The Department of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management is comprised of the offices of: Admissions, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Registrar, Student Development and Campus Life [Dean of Students, Student Activities, Career and Accessibility Services, Campus Diversity] Mental Health Counseling, Resource Navigator, International Student Services, Hispanic Center, Athletics, and the Wellness and Fitness Center.
Indiana University Kokomo has experienced steady enrollment growth over the last six years. The university’s approximately 3000 students include undergraduate students (95%) and graduate students (5%), full-time (75%) and part-time (25%) students with an overall profile of more traditional-age, yet diverse in total students served. The campus seeks an experienced and innovative leader who understands the campus mission, as well as the varied backgrounds of students, and who will support faculty and student learning. A paramount responsibility for the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management is directing and operationalizing strategies that increase enrollment.
Qualified candidates must have an earned master’s degree in a field relevant to the position; a doctorate is preferred. In addition, a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience with 5 of those being in higher education, in progressively more responsible management roles is required. Experience in leading a multi-unit organization is important. Required qualifications include evidence of leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skills that engender trust and cultivate collaboration, the ability to build consensus, and experience with supervision, fiscal management, utilization and interpretation of data for campus decision-making.
