Reporting to the Associate Dean of Campus and Community Engagement, the Director of Student Engagement is responsible for creating and facilitating a vibrant program of student activities and events, both on and off campus. This includes all aspects of student organizations and co-curricular programs, oversight of Greek Life, and prevention programming. The Director is responsible for promoting a campus environment that is conducive to student development and collaborates closely with staff and faculty across campus to provide quality out-of-classroom experiences to compliment the McDaniel Commitment and McDaniel’s student-centered mission.

Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or related field is required.
A minimum of 3-5 years full-time work in the area of Student Activities, with experience in supervising full-time staff.
Expertise in Greek Life and prevention programming required.
Experience working with diverse student populations
Knowledge of leadership theories and best practices in leadership development programs preferred.
An understanding of the value of engaging students and what motivates them to participate.
An understanding of and the ability to apply student-development and learning-outcome theories.
