Carleton College is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Activities to contribute to the overall goals of the College and the Division of Student Life by supporting a vibrant, comprehensive, and co-curricular program for approximately 2,000 undergraduate students. This position supports over 225 student organizations and assists with a variety of programs and services designed to provide engagement and learning opportunities for students outside the classroom.
The Assistant Director of Student Activities will develop, implement, and assess a variety of student events, programs, and services throughout the academic year and during breaks. This will include serving as a resource and/or primary advisor for student organizations, address risk management issues related to student organizations, and co-coordinate and lead regular meetings between students and staff members.
This is a full-time salaried, regular, fully benefit-eligible staff position. Applications received by April 1 will receive priority consideration.

The successful candidate possesses a master’s degree in college student personnel, student affairs in higher educations, higher education administration, or a related field with a minimum three years of relevant experience. Must have communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse group of students and colleagues. Preferred qualities include experience working at a liberal arts college, working with talent agencies and contract negotiations, and campus radio station management.
