The Senior Assistant Director positions are full-time (100%) 12-month appointments in The Career Center, a unit of Student Affairs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Senior Assistant Directors are members of The Career Center’s Leadership team.
The Senior Assistant Director for Career Education and Campus Outreach oversees the budget and personnel associated with the Career Education team. The position is responsible for effective outreach to students and campus partners and the development and delivery of career education services and resources that meet the needs of students. The Senior Assistant Director directs career coaching training, leads the staff development committee, and contributes to the coordination of career education across the broader career services community at Illinois.
The Senior Assistant Director for Employer Relations and Career Connections oversees the budget and personnel associated with the Employer and Career Connections team. The position is responsible for fostering relationships with stakeholders that provide career and experiential learning opportunities, overseeing on-campus recruiting activities, and guiding services and resources that prepare students for interviews and internship/job searches. The position contributes to campuswide employer engagement initiatives and leads implementation of Handshake@Illinois for the Illinois career services community.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree and 3 years of full-time experience that includes a variety of responsibilities related to career services or college student development
