Position Title: Title IX Coordinator and Compliance Officer
Employment Type: 1.0 FTE
Work Schedule: M-F; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 12 months. Evenings and weekends as required
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary: Serves as the principal institutional official responsible for coordinating, implementing and overseeing compliance with the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA), Campus SaVe Act, Americans with Disabilities Act/Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (ADA), the Clery Act, and other assigned federal and or state laws/regulations. Performs essential functions personally, through others, or in conjunction with designated personnel or outside vendors/experts.

Minimum Knowledge: (Obtained through education, experience, training, licensure, certification, or through a combination of the aforementioned.) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Four years relevant experience. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience as determined by the appropriate executive.
Working knowledge of applicable laws including, but not limited to Title IX, Title VII, Clery Act, VAWA, FERPA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities. Knowledge of due process. Knowledge of conflict resolution principles.
Desired Knowledge: JD or Masters from an accredited institution in a related field strongly preferred (e.g., criminal justice, higher education administration). Formal Title IX Coordinator or investigator training
