Under the general direction of the Director of the Disability Programs & Resource Center (DPRC), the Associate Director leads, manages, and supervises case management and consultation for student and employee accommodations; directly supervises, manages the performance of, and trains the DPRC Student Advising and Advocacy staff; defines operational work flow pertaining to the provision of reasonable accommodations for over 1,700 students with disabilities and handles direct case management of student accommodation concerns across the disability spectrum that are particularly complex or sensitive; oversees the student complaints and concerns processes for the department; provides general oversight of the department in the Director's absence; and represents the Director on campus committees as assigned.
A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a job-related field.
Minimum of three years of supervisory, program development and management experience with professional staff in an agency, educational or corporate setting.
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience, which includes experience in advising students individually and in groups, and in analysis and resolution of complex student accommodation and services problems.
Comprehensive knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Fair Housing Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 as amended.
