(Commuter Student Advocacy and Student Engagement)
The University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking applicants for the position of Associate Director, Commuter Student Advocacy and Student Engagement. This position provides leadership for the direction of commuter resource and advocacy programs and processes.
The Associate Director is the senior staff member who will design, administer and manage all assessment functions for the unit programs reporting to the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement.
The position is full-time and available August 16, 2017. Applicants must possess a Master's degree in educational leadership and policy studies, college student personnel or a related field required. Working knowledge of student development and adult learner theory, CAS standards, and the Student Affairs professional competencies, knowledge of student development and adult learner theory. Minimum of five years' experience in student affairs or educational program planning. Supervisory experience with budget responsibility required. Strong organizational, leadership and project management skills. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with Microsoft Access and Excel. Must possess a strong interest in serving a diverse student population effectively including advocacy efforts and educational outreach activities.
